(Pasay City, Philippines) – The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) again opened its doors to a 2nd “UAV Industry Stakeholder” Conference with various Philippine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) / Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) operators, as well as representative from the recreational / non-commercial community on May 4, 2016 at the CAAP Director General’s Conference Room.
The main topic of discussion is the CAAP’s Memorandum Circular MC 29-15 which is the recent amendment of the Philippine Civil Aviation Regulations (PCAR) Part 2, 4 and Part 11 in the registration of RPA’s, its controllers and operators. The recently concluded Conference gave a chance for the RPAS operators to seek consultation and guidance with regards to the new RPAS regulations.
After half a day of invigorating discussions between the CAAP, RPAS/UAV industry stakeholders and recreational aeromodelers. The conference came to a successful conclusion which -achieved several important outcomes with a very positive impact in the Philippine RPAS/UAV industry, as well as positive feedback for the recreational drones and radio-control aircraft models.
