Metro Manila Shake Drill using drones. UAS and our technical partners participated in the recently concluded 2nd Metro Manila Shake Drill / Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. Drones will play a big part in future Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) efforts. Providing crucial up-to-date information for Damage Assessment and Search and Rescue elements in the event of a major disaster.
The drone missions were approved and is coordinated with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to operate inside the leading financial and central business district of the Philippines, Makati City. And exercised the equivalent level of safety expected by the Authority.
